Scarborough just called me again, after 9:00pmThey are a pain and I'm sure breaking laws to call a private, unlisted number that is on the DNC list, and after 9:30pmBottom feeders
At first when they called, I was annoyed at the lateness of the hour, and at the time I lived with my familyThey originally asked for my mom but she gave the phone right back to me saying she didn't want to be bothered; then they said they just needed to speak with someone in the house or older, since I was at the time, I took the callIt was a long, drawn out survey on just about everything, and I was getting frustrated, but figured as long as he wasn't asking for personal info, why not? After I was done, he asked my address and emailI consulted with my mom for a moment and she said it was alright, so I gave it to the manA few weeks later I got a letter in the mail with $in it and an invitation to complete another surveySo now, whenever I receive an email from them, I complete a survey and get between $5-It's easy and a nice way for me to make some extra cashI'm glad I took the time to participate instead of hanging up
This company is apparently a survey company They called at 9:PM I thought it was illegal for these companies to call that late?
I was awakened two nights in a row around 9:30pm by cold calls from Scarborough Research. The third evening they called at 7:41pm. By that time I had blocked both phone numbers from the two 9:30pm calls and my call blocker dropped the call. I have caller id and did not answer any of the calls. I am also on the Do Not Call list.
I googled Scarborough. Based on 20 pages of angry comments from consumers on a single web site ( http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-210-736-3080 ) the late night calls are Scarborough's practice, not an isolated instance of someone setting the clock wrong on a robocaller. I assume this is a deliberate ploy on the part of Scarborough to get people to answer the phone. Who calls at that hour unless it's an emergency?
I have no idea if the late night cold calls are legal, but this practice is certainly unconscionable.
