We paid this so called "licensed and insured" contractor, signed a contract but then never received any of the service in the contract We recently hired a company (SBL Contractors) located out of [redacted] , **The "owner" and his "wife" came out to our home and gave us a quote the beginning of March to do some exterior paintingThey gave us a good price and offered a 10% discount if we paid a deposit and booked right awayWe agreed to a price, paid the full amount and agreed to have the job started in weeks (weather dependent)Yes, we received poor weather and more snow but had plenty of nice days between then and now when we requested a refundThey had extremely poor communication and that is all I requested so I could plan for them to be hereI had to repeatedly message and or call to just get detailsWhen I did get a response they stated they had been in the hospital along with numerous other excusesCome to find out, they did the same thing to at least one other family bu

On March 9, I signed a contract with SBL Contractors/Brian *** to build a small wall around our furnace and drywall a storage room in our basement, with a 50% deposit of $1250, which was cashed within an hourWe verbally agreed that the work would be done the week of March 12, which I took off work to be home and help where I could With a series of excuses, SBL never showed upOne excuse was a broken truck - I rented the Home Depot truck and got the materials - still didn't show up
Since that time there has been very little contact from Mr*** except for the excuses and a few promises to refund the money We have contact with another individual who has had the same thing happen Since this time, we've not been able to find a registered business or license
