"MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:If customer is not 100% satisfied, they are entitled to receive a refund for the product. All that is required for the refund is proof of purchase and full amount will be refunded."I am no longer in possession of the receipt, I turned it into my boss for petty cash, so technically a refund would be owed to the city. It is in some other office building or at city hall and not worth chasing down for 3 or 4 bucks. However even if I had the receipt this would not be satisfactory to me. This is part of an ongoing problem at this store affecting the whole neighborhood, A satisfactory response would begin with a public apology to Buffalo's West Side Community. It would be followed by some kind of material reparations, perhaps a free loaf of bread and a gallon of juice to every household. I recently went to this grocery store and bought some food. It was about mid-December. I found a marked-down head of lettuce for 17 cents and bought it. Later that night, I was re-reading the receipt and discovered that the checker had rang up the marked-down lettuce 3 times on my receipt. I didn't notice at the time because I had bought several items of food and she was ringing them up so fast. I was meaning to go back up to the store to get my money back but never had the time and eventually...the receipt got lost. And now, I cannot get my money back. I know that it's small change...34 cents, but that's NOT the issue OR the point. The point is this: I don't have a lot of money and I try to get the lowest prices on food as I can to feed my family. And when a customer is ripped-off and charged 3 times the amount of what the price is, that's not getting a good buy at all. That's doing customers wrong. I shop at this store often and have not had much of any problems, but a guy checker over-charged me on some Bubba Colas once and I let it pass. But notice how the customer gets 'overcharged' and not 'undercharged'. His name is Dewayne and this most recent checker is named Lafonda.
