August 31, 2015Dear [redacted] & [redacted] ,Let me start by saying again that we are sorry that you have had issues with your camperThe simple fact is though, that you purchased the camper knowing that it came with a day warrantyWe did not knowingly hide any previous damages from you and the roof and floor certainly were not soft when we sold it.It says on the invoice that was supplied to us from [redacted] from when you took it to them on 5/22/2015, that they opened the camper and checked the interior and found it to be in "generally good Condition"They also noted that the roof was taking on moisture due to the canvas being wet when the Camper was closed up and advised that it be thoroughly dried out next time before winterThese are examples of things that we have no control over after we sell a Camper.I also notice on this same invoice dated 5/22/that nothing was said about the floor being soft either by you or by [redacted] As I noted earlier, [redacted] said the camper was in "generally good condition"This would have been months after you purchased the camper from us and there is no note of the floor being soft, yet you are stating that we would have known about the floor rot at the time of saleThis does not add up.We are truly Sorry for the issues that you experienced, but we are not responsible to cover any of the costs that you incurred.Sincerely,Daryn SPresident
August 6, 2015Dear [redacted] & [redacted] , We received your letter and we’re sorry to hear that you have had issues with your CamperWe always hope that all of our customers will have a positive experience with the vehicles/campers that they purchase from Sauder MotorsWe strive to offer the best quality used vehicles/campers that we can.In regards to the specific issues that you have experienced, there is no way we could have foreseen the problems that you had almost a year after purchasing the [redacted] from Sauder MotorsAs you know, We offer a day components warranty on all of our Campers, but we do not cover Structural or Water damageThis is because there are too many factors that can play into a camper developing water damageWe take the time to inspect every camper we sell from top to bottom and we are honest with our customers if there are any known issuesAlthough we understand that you are frustrated with the amount of time and money you have put into the [redacted] , we should not be expected to cover costs that have occurred almost a year after purchasing it from usThe kind of water damage that you experienced could have easily developed over the winter during storage if the camper was not properly dried out before closing it up.Again we are sorry for the issues that you experienced, but we are not responsible to cover any of the costs that you incurredSincerely, Daryn S President

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: We believe that expert testimony given by the RV repair company who has seen every component of the trailer can attest to the fact that this damage occurred PRIOR to the purchase and it was not the fault of the owners and was pre-existing to the sale We meticulously saw to the care of the camper It is still at the repair shop due to the mechanical failure of the lift We paid the full price for the camper - with no negotiation We have incurred over $6,in repairs including a NEW Roof and a NEW Floor The camper is unusable and we have lost enjoyment of vacation that was pre-paid at *** Campground It is our view that we should be able to return the camper to Sauder Motors, receive a full refund and the costs of the repairs incurred We seek mediation in this case and suggest that the owner of the rv repair shop be interviewed for his expert opinion He has taken photos of the damage to the floor andcopies of those photos were given to Sauder with our request for resolution We purchased the camper with the full idea of obtaining a way to enjoy traveling and camping with the amenities that the camper offered We are deeply saddened that Sauder rejects our proposal and therefore request that this be taken to mediation We will produce all photos, bills, invoices and our rv repairman is willing to testify to the facts in this case

August 31, 2015Dear [redacted] & [redacted],Let me start by saying again that we are sorry that you have had issues with your camper. The simple fact is though, that you purchased the camper knowing that it came with a 30 day warranty. We did not knowingly hide any previous damages from you and the roof and floor certainly were not soft when we sold it.
It says on the invoice that was supplied to us from [redacted] from when you took it to them on 5/22/2015, that they opened the camper and checked the interior and found it to be in "generally good Condition". They also noted that the roof was taking on moisture due to the canvas being wet when the Camper was closed up and advised that it be thoroughly dried out next time before winter. These are examples of things that we have no control over after we sell a Camper.
I also notice on this same invoice dated 5/22/2015 that nothing was said about the floor being soft either by you or by [redacted]. As I noted earlier, [redacted] said the camper was in "generally good condition". This would have been 10 months after you purchased the camper from us and there is no note of the floor being soft, yet you are stating that we would have known about the floor rot at the time of sale. This does not add up.
We are truly Sorry for the issues that you experienced, but we are not responsible to cover any of the costs that you incurred.

offer the best quality used vehicles/campers that we can.In regards to the specific issues that you have experienced, there is no way we could have foreseen the problems that you had almost a year after purchasing the [redacted] from Sauder Motors. As you know, We offer a 30 day components warranty on all of our Campers, but we do not cover Structural or Water damage. This is because there are too many factors that can play into a camper developing water damage. We take the time to inspect every camper we sell from top to bottom and we are honest with our customers if there are any known issues.
Although we understand that you are frustrated with the amount of time and money you have put into the [redacted], we should not be expected to cover costs that have occurred almost a year after purchasing it from us.
