Review: On august 17 2013 I went to Saubel's Shurfine Market it was third day of the sale. I purchased peaches that were advertised $0.88 /lb (sign on shelf also stated $ 0.88 /lb). When I arrived home I noticed they charged me $ 1.49 /lb. I called the store and asked to speak the manager she said her name was [redacted]. And they would refund the money (my gas my time) I also told her this was illegal to advertise one price and charge another. she said I just work here . On Sunday august 18 a friend went to the same store and purchased peaches the sign on shelf still said $0.88 / lb but was charged $ 1.49 /lb I have both receipts . They also advertised 85% lean hamburger and was selling 83% leanDesired Settlement: I would like to see them fined for false advertising and made to refund everybody that purchased peaches or hamburger .This could be done though there store card program they have a record of everybody who purchased these items. If this is outside of the scope of the Revdex.com please email me info on which government agency handles this so I can file a complaint with them. Thank you.

Dear [redacted],
The customer is correct that the peaches were ringing up incorrectly. They were advertised in our normal weekly ad (which I have enclosed a copy of the ad) at $1.49 lb. The peaches were also part of a special 4 Day Sale (ad copy enclosed) that we advertised them at .88 Lb. From what I can tell at this point our weekly ad price over wrote the 4 day sale price.
The retail price was corrected by a manager later on August 17th, however he did miss what we call a drop down number which, I assume is the number the cashier used on the 18th.
As to the Ground Beef, I can’t find where this complaint is coming from. We did have Saubel's Reserve Ground Chuck advertised on the front page of the ad with no % lean advertised. I am also enclosing a copy of the shelf sign which did list the product as being 83% lean.
I can assure you that we strive to be perfect when it comes to pricing. Anytime that we are wrong we will gladly make it right with the customer.
Sincerely,
Consumer
