The website plainly states free shipping and free returns. The product we purchased didn't work. When we called to get instructions on sending it back, we were told we had to pay the shipping and then would only get a partial refund. This is false advertising and the customer service rep was pretty horrible. Very defensive and not helpful. No wonder most everyone buys from Amazon.

The website satmaximum.com advertises free shipping and free returns is HUGE letters. I could not get the unit to work. I called and asked for a return. They only do free shipping if the item is defective + they wanted a 20-30% restocking fee. I spent hours trying to get it working but it would not.

Review: Purchased a 40ft hdmi cable from satmaximum, cable was defective showing flashing red pixels, a common defect of long low quality hdmi cables. The cable was in a closed plastic package, service lied and said they test the cables before shipping, there is no way the cable was tested showing flashing red pixels, also the cable being in a closed package. Their service then only gave the option of sending the cable to them at my expense. The defective cable is also suspect of damaging my equipment. One of the monitors used to test the cable stopped working shortly after connecting their defective cable. The cable also wasn't able to be connected before installing it in the wall to reach a pc monitor, uninstalling the cable and shipping it to them at my expense is not fair, especially after damaging a pc monitor. I proposed a few options such as images of their cable taken apart or them emailing a prepaid shipping label but they refused anything but me paying to ship their defect to them after having my pc monitor breaking and paying for a defective cable that was obviously not tested before sending. sat maximum sells defective cables at a cheap price that are not worth returning because they try to make the people they lie and sell to pay to return the defective cables.Desired Settlement: Refund of $11.92 for the defective cable and compensation for the damaged XL2370 Samsung monitor currently with the lowest available cost used of $350.24, the link [redacted]
