Saskatoon Rec League

My teams play in the Saskatoon Rec League run by [redacted]. [redacted]. Currently we play outdoor soccer and the field we supposedly rent out are free, while any costs to maintain them are not taken care of by the league (SRL). We've had to play in tall grass with no lines for the majority of the years we've been playing in this league.The pressing issue recently is we paid upfront first for a spot on an indoor league next month. Teams that have paid are listed on the SRL website; we, [redacted], are not. Furthermore teams that have registered after us are listed and now [redacted] won't tell myself or my team if we're in the league now or not and fear he will not give us our refund out of spite in bringing this up with him in emails.Desired SettlementWe would like our fee issue and spot explained & resolved and a review of [redacted]'s practices with the team/league fees and where good money we & others pay for a well-run league is going, because it is clearly not that.Business Response [redacted]First of all this complaint was logged not by the captain of the team or the person who paid but by a player on the team. This was not the person we dealt with as we deal directly with captains only to avoid misinformation and multiple duplicate responses. Not one have we received an email from [redacted] so I am not sure where he is getting his information from.Regarding the issue raised about fields, we do not maintain them as they are city property and this responsibility is the City of Saskatoon. We can not maintain City property as this is not our property. The city follows a strict maintenance schedule on all fields and does a very good job of this. If they were in poor condition I am not sure why this was not brought up through the season while teams were playing on them. If there was an issue with the fields we can contact the City of Saskatoon to send someone out however we were never notified nor did a single other team complain about the fields.Regarding the pressing issue brought up, we did tell their captain from day 1 that we would not allow them to play in the fall indoor league due to them playing in the fall outdoor league and there being conflicts with game times. We actually did give them the option of playing both if they could guarantee they would not miss any games and they never did confirm this would be the case. As a result we did not accept them to ensure our other teams did not miss out on any games due to this team defaulting.Regarding their registration fees, we did refund their fees as soon as it was confirmed they could not guarantee they wouldn't miss any games. Furthermore we went over this with his captain but not with him because he never contacted us.
