Complaint[redacted] We booked two hotel rooms for two of our members on October 29, 2014 at the Saskatoon Inn. We wished to pay for the rooms with our organization's credit card so that the members would not be out of pocket. I booked the two rooms on October 28, 2014 under the name [redacted] as we only knew one of the two names that required rooms. On October 29, 2014 prior to the members checking in we faxed an authorization form for the two rooms with the names of both individuals [redacted] & [redacted]. On November 10, 2014 we received our credit card bill with one room charged and processed October 31, 2014 on our card and two rooms charged on November 3, 2014 all for stays on October 29, 2014 at the Saskatoon Inn. On November 12, 2014 I contacted the Saskatoon Inn and informed them that a mistake must have been made as our card was charged for three rooms not two. We had only booked two rooms, only authorized two rooms and only had two people stay at the hotel. The hotel looked in to the matter and said that housekeeping had logged all three rooms as being used and that all three rooms were checked in by the two names we had on file. I assured them, that at no time did we authorize a third room, at no time did we book a third room and there was only two people who stayed at the hotel. It appears that when we provided the second name of who would be using the second room that the hotel rather than assigning that person to the two rooms booked under [redacted] then created a new reservation for the 2nd individual and booked us and charged us for three rooms. Again, we never at any time agreed to a third room, never authorized the booking or charging of a third room and only ever provided 2 names and only had 2 people stay. We would like the third room which we did not authorize or use to be refunded to our credit card.Desired SettlementWe would like a refund from the charge of the third room which we never booked, used or authorized. Business Response This complaint has been resolved with [redacted] directly. Upon further investigation it was discovered that due to a clerical error Mr. [redacted]'s reservation was shortened to 1 night and immediately checked out. Upon returning to the hotel, a new reservation was made for Mr. [redacted] with the same billing instructions. Mr. [redacted] was contacted and the extra charges he referred to have been refunded.
