Sardella Firm

On December 12, 2018 my husband and I paid Sardella Firm $800 in cash to obtain the deed to our house, as they’re the ones with the estate paperwork from the previous owner. It has been literally almost a year since we paid them and still have not gotten the deed. We were told that we should have the deed in February. We managed to get ahold of them a few more times since then, all to no success towards getting the service we paid for, just endless excuses as to why it’s not done. “Oh mr. Sardella was sick”, “mr. Sardella is going on vacation next week he will call you back”, etc. Since early October they have stopped answering their phone when we call, they are not returning phone calls, and were not at the office when we went there during their normal/advertised business hours. Due to this we have been unable to get homeowner’s insurance because we do not legally own the house, and are constantly in a state of “what if something happens?”. It is also a very old house and we are unable to take out a small loan for necessary home repairs/improvements, once again because we do not have the deed.
