Review: Sapphire was the management company for our building for a short period of time (March - December 2014). During this time [redacted] the [redacted] of the company ignored multiple emails & calls often for weeks at a time. He also mis managed our checks, money and missed several bills including our taxes and insurance which led to penalties and late fees. Once we finally were able to speak to him, we felt uneasy with him managing our money and asked for the records of all deposits and payments made. He charged us a total of $450 to provide us with copies of checks that had been deposited into our account. They had to scan these checks on 11/**/14 and 11/**/14. Apparently they charged us $75/hour for 5 hours of work. In our contract, it clearly states: "A charge of no more than $75 per hour will be charged by [redacted] for any court appearance or hourly work outside the normal scope of property management as per this agreement." However, it also states that one of their duties is "Maintaining orderly files of common records, receipts, bills, and all other documents and papers pertaining to the Building or operation thereof, and the same shall at all times remain the property of the [redacted] and be delivered upon request etc etc." It also states that they need to maintain an orderly book/ledger. So, this is definitely not work that is outside the scope of the agreement. In fact, it should have already been done.Sapphire and [redacted] continuously ignored our countless calls and email while he held on to over 10K of our buildings moneyDesired Settlement: Our condominium board would like our money, in the amount of $450, to be returned via check.
