On November 28 2015 I got a loan with Santander Customer USA for $16,661.14, at 72 months, monthly payments of $385.08 on a car with a commercial value of 15.998.00, predatory annual interest rate of 18.23% as today January 20 2024 (and after talking to a Santander Rep) I realized that I made already 80 monthly payments (around $30,800,00) and Santander Costumer USA wants me to pay another $4,600,00. No explanation why I have to pay another $4600 dollars on a 16,661.14. (Around 25% of the initial loan). During the pandemic I had to ask for a break so they moved two of my payments to the end of the loan but it looks like Santander changed the rules of the contract and they refinanced the whole loan because there’s not another explanation why I have to pay another $7,700,00 on a loan of 16,661.14 so the crazy total of this loan will be $35,413.
I just recently discovered that I may have colon cancer (waiting for test results) so now I have to choose between paying medical bills or keep paying for this shark loan in order to have a car to go to doctor’s appointments.
