Please send pictures directly to ***@smford.us as soon as possible so we may submit them to Ford Motor Company, or have Grand Auto bring the vehicle to usPlease have them fax a copy of the invoice to 949- [redacted] We have no record of us declining any tailgate warrantyThe process if there is a concern with a replacement part is for the installer to bring us the part directly for review so that we can submit photos to Ford Motor Company for approvalUpon approval from Ford the part is returned to Ford and a replacement part is issued
Mr***,
I have reviewed your concerns and your vehicle's historyThe last documented visit we have for a Kim *** was on 7/6/at 63,milesWe need more information to properly understand what has happenedWe work with many local body shops and we need an invoice from the said
body shop showing the purchase and replacement of partsThe part purchase comes with a two year unlimited mile warranty against defectOnce we inspect the vehicle we can determine if the part is defectiveI spoke with parts and service personnel and no one recalls anyone bringing in a vehicle with this concern and it being deniedIf it came through service it would have be written up and a manager would have inspected and either approved or deniedAlso, the work should be guaranteed by the body shop that completed the repairs
In regards to the glass shattering I did check to see if your vehicle has any current or open recalls (which it does not) or if it had any recalls related to the glass previously and found noneThe vehicle's ori***l factory warranty is for three years or 36,miles from the date of purchase whichever comes firstThe phone number that goes directly to Ford Motor Company where you can express your concerns against defect is 1-800-***
I would recommend taking the vehicle back to the body shop that did the repairs on the glass, have them send the vehicle over, we will inspect it and go from thereIf you have any other questions or concerns please contact us
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
Attached is the invoice from Ford Rancho Santa Margarita to our auto mechanic, [redacted] on [redacted], [redacted], CA. Also attached is the invoice from [redacted] to me, which includes the cost of both the parts and installation.
I would like to receive either a replacement part or reimbursement for the $404.37 cost of installation.
[redacted] already reached out to the Ford Parts department in late November to receive a replacement part, but was told the crack was due to our usage of the tailgate. I don't intend to leave my car at the Ford dealership for a day so they can "take a look at it", as proposed in their Revdex.com response. I'm willing to send pictures of the cracked tailgate, or they can speak again with [redacted] who is a regular customer of theirs.
Regards,
[redacted]
Please send pictures directly to [redacted]@smford.us as soon as possible so we may submit them to Ford Motor Company, or have Grand Auto bring the vehicle to us. Please have them fax a copy of the invoice to 949-[redacted]. We have no record of us declining any tailgate warranty. The normal process if there is a concern with a replacement part is for the installer to bring us the part directly for review so that we can submit photos to Ford Motor Company for approval. Upon approval from Ford the part is returned to Ford and a replacement part is issued.
