my car was towed , there were no clear posted signs that said no parking
on 4/10/2020 my car was towed after the governor had a no tow order due to covit 19. I was at my mothers bringing her food for the covit 19 stay at home emergency. she is a high risk and should not be leaving the house. I was parked right in front of my mothers house. I had no idea that it was a no parking zone, because it was not clearly ,marked. when I saw that my car was gone, I went looking for the any sign with any kind of info on it regarding who the tow company would be or the security company was and found none. thinking my car had been stolen I called the police station and they had record of my car being towed at all. so they sent out a officer a few hours later, they had just received the info on my car being towed, this was at 11;30 am and my car had been towed at 4;15am, it took them 7 ours to report my car being towed. when I contacted them, they were very rude and hung up on my mother, then would not take our calls. refused to work with us at all. my mother had to go out of the house putting her health at risk because they would only take cash from us and my mom had to go to the bank. I know I can not prove this last statment but im including it just because I want them to know that I know. when I got my car back there was *** dollars stolen from my car, it was the change from my moms food bill.
i want a refund of
My car was towed illegally from the Promenade apartments in Valencia, CA. Signs were not posted *** XXXXX ***
Tow occurred on 2/15/19 at 10:20pm and cost me $450 paid with a credit card. Signs were not posted at all entrances of the property *** XXXXX *** Additionally no signs were visible in any direction at any distance from the location that the car was parked when it was towed. While the space did read "reserved" in painted white text on the ground, this text was not visible from a driver's POV due to rainfall when the car was parked. Additionally the painted white text does not meet XXXXX *** definition of appropriate signage which includes a statement that the vehicle would be towed at owner's expense and must include the phone number of the towing company. I have photos taken the morning of 2/16/19 that corroborate this and will be compiling a detailed report that shows where signs are posted, where the car was parked and shows that no signs were posted at the entrance used to gain access to the lot, nor were there any signs visible in any direction at any distance from the location that the vehicle was parked.
Immediately refund me the full amount paid for tow and retrieval of $450 remitted on 2/16/19.
Illegal towing
On Dec. 12, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. I arrived at XXXXX Main Street, *** to have lunch at Junction. I park in the parking lot behind the restaurant, parallel to an alley. There is a vacant retail spot and next to that is a Metro PCS store. Plenty of spots open. At 1:10 I come out to find my car actively being towed away. I, my sister, another man who was working in the alley way yell at and chase the tow driver down the alley. I also pushed the alarm button on my key chain which went off (we were that close). The tow driver failed to stop. He did not reach the street yet. We run back to the parking lot to determine why it was towed and learn the Metro employee called. I call the tow company to find out where my car is (which is about a mile away) and rush over to retrieve it. This all takes place in about 20 minutes. We arrive at tow yard and the clerk Roberto is very vague about who the driver was and why he didn't stop when we chased him. NO answers. On top of the $260.00 tow charge, he adds a $60.00 storage charge! The car was there less than 20 minutes! Beyond frustrated, I pay the amount to release my car. We are in the process of dealing with Metro PCS and their lack of signage posted. I have witnesses and pictures of lot where I parked. This tow company is operating unscrupulously and should be cited or fined.
Aside from the time, effort, stress this has cost me, I am only seeking a refund of $320.00.
My car was towed from my son's condo after 2 hours being parked there
On Friday, Oct26 at approximately 10:00 AM, I went to my son's condo to take his car to get tires. I left my car in a guest parking space. When we returned after 2 1/2 hours, my car had been towed to Santa Clarita City Towing in Newhall. No warning was given. They claim I was given a warning some time ago. I remember getting a warning several months ago after having been parked in a guest parking space for 10 minutes. I thought it was in my other car, though. It cost me $385.00 to get my car back. Guest parking spaces are for that purpose. For people visiting tenants. I have been told Maxwell Security Services is in collusion with SC Towing and both are profiting from this illegal scheme . I was also told that this security company was being fired by *** HOA company for this reason and probably other reasons. I am asking for a full reimbursement of $385.00

This tow company did not follow state law in regards to the handling of my vehicle as well as the cost to gain possession of my vehicle.
October 30,2017 my black Ford F-150 was towed by Santa Clarita City Tow Company. I came out of my house when they had my vehicle on the tow truck. When I informed the driver that it was my vehicle he rapidly jumped into his company tow truck and speed out of my community complex. The law states that if you come out before the truck has left they are required to release your vehicle at the maximum amount of half the tow rate. This right was not given to me. There are multiple workers of the community and neighbors that witnessed this take place as well. When I called the company to let them know about the situation I was told by the manager *** that I now had to pay $355 to get the truck out of the tow lot. And he said he was doing me a favor by taking off $130 for staying after hours. Upon arriving to the business *** was beyond confrontational toward me. He told me they didn't have to drop the car if they saw me and heard me shouting "that's my car". I was forced to pay the $355 to get my truck out of the lot and the state laws were not followed in this case.
I am seeking an adjustment of billing from this company. The towing laws were not followed and my rights were compromised.
