Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital

Review: my complaint is against the business office of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. I received a surgery at the hospital on October 16, 2012 and was billed and paid for everything for everything except one bill which came late. This bill was not covered by my insurance company. I was out of work and asked to pay it on time. They sent me the paper work and I paid the first payment. Unfortunately, they expected me to pay on a timely basis, that was not with monthy statements or reminders. Recently, I received a letter from a collection agency for overdue late payment... I called Cottage Hospital and Karen told me that they just needed "to get me off of their books". She would even not take my payment over the phone! I was told to settle it with the credit collection agency! I am not happy with their procedures in an era when it just takes an email to remind someone of a missed payment and they way that they treat their customers!!!Desired Settlement: Reinstatement of my credit record to good and clean by Cottage Hospital.
