Review: Awful Service for Wedding Reception on June 21, 2014, catered by Sansar Events and [redacted]: (1) Zero professionalism; (2) A few guests, including children, left without being served an entree, and extra meals were knowingly left at empty seats; (3) Did not follow many of our instructions about the venue and set-up; (4) Vegetarian food was over an hour late and cold when it arrived; (5) Bartender repeatedly lied to our guests about availability of alcohol, cups, and mixers; (6) No wine opener during cocktail hour; (7) Did not familiarize themselves with our venue beforehand. We had to pay for two extra hours at the venue because of this, which cost us over $1,300; (8) Rude to our guests; (9) They were completely unapologetic about everything during and after the event, and instead lied, yelled at, and insulted us to cover their mistakes; (10) We are still hearing additional complaints from our guests. Our guests were kind enough not to tell us about the poor service they received until after the event. We have everything documented, and can provide witnesses and statements regarding each of these complaints and more.Desired Settlement: We have asked for a 50% refund ($4,150), not counting the additional $1,300+ we had to pay to the venue for the extra time that Sansar Events took to leave the venue. We are only looking for a fair compensation for the poor service our guests and we received. We did not get what we paid for, and their attitudes, insults, and lies just served to spoil any good service that may have been provided.
