Sandy Shores Resort Motel

Review: On 8/29/2013 I made through Booking .com for an overnight stay at Sandy Shores Resort, North Wildwood, NJ.

When I arrived to check in at Sandy Shores we discovered that the accommodations was nothing as described on line in writing and pictures. The room was small, musty, dark and dank smelling. As a matter of fact the lock on the door was so corroded we had a hard time opening the lock.

Additionally the location was poorly lit with unsecure street parking. I was travelling alone with my two young kids and did not feel in the least bit safe.

I went back to the front desk and explained my misgiving to the clerk. I was told I would need to contact Bookings.com to cancel the reservation. I contacted them, they in turn spoke with the Manager and my reservation was cancelled with the understanding that my account will not be charged.

When I reviewed my account it was charged and Booking. Com refused to assist me in recouping my monies from Sandy Shores.

Booking .com seemingly continues to doubt my experience at Sandy Shores, yet no one from their staff has visited this place.I however have, and stand by the fact that the pictures posted do not measure up to the actual accommodations. I made

my reservation based on these pictures, descriptions and reviews, just as I have done using other websites. I am simply requesting

a FULL refund of my payment of $100.30

It is now November and I still don’t have my monies refunded. I worked with Citibank to have the payment returned but they were unsuccessful.

I have also filed a similar complaint regarding Booking.com to cover all bases.
