In the course of servicing a vehicle we roll down the drivers window because some cars automatically lock the doors when shut The allows us to open the door should that occur When we did that in this case the power window failed to operate and rise in the fashion We offered to investigate the cause of the failure (switch, motor, regulator) which would require additional testing and inspection but the client declined Next we offered to try and get the window back up to the closed position - again the client declined this offer The and reasonable act of rolling the window down did not cause the window to break on a year old vehicle with 197,miles We are not responsible but we will assist - at no charge- in returning the inoperative window to the closed position if needed
