Our experience with Total Chimney Care was not very goodThey arrived on time and finished the job in under minutesIt cost over $*** for one chimneyPerhaps this is industry standard, but we paid much less the last time we had our chimney cleaned (last year) and received better service that time, tooWhen my partner asked about what was done and why it was so fast, she was treated dismissively
In fact, it was the treatment of my partner (not the exorbitant cost) that made our experience negativeThroughout, the representative from TCC called her "Miss." Upon seeing our two children, he exclaimed, "Oh, I guess it's 'Mrs', then." It is obviously inappropriate to draw assumptions about one's client's marital status especially when the person drawing these assumptions is a strange man in someone's home
I recommend going elsewhere for chimney cleaning
Terrible customer service! I contacted them first by email, then by leaving a voicemail to resolve a chimney issue. They didn't respond to either message. When I finally got someone on the phone, she was rude, though she did say they'd come out and look at the problem. I made special arrangements to leave work to meet them at my house, and they gave me ten minutes' notice that they weren't coming. When I called to reschedule, the woman who answered the phone was, once again, rude, and refused to reschedule the appointment. When I suggested that perhaps I could call another company, she said she "didn't need my attitude". I'm sorry, but since when is expecting basic courtesy in customer service considered having an attitude?
