Review: Sandra Murray claims to be a college selection and Financial aid consultant.We met with Sandra Feb 2013 to assist in the college selection process for our child. The first meeting was with our child alone for an hour. She had asked our child to bring 5 college options that she was interested in (our child actually gave 6). After our child met with Sandra, I met with Sandra. Since this was our fist college experince, we THOUGHT Sandra knew alot.In the second meeting Sandra presented us with 10 college options for our child. Funny, on this list were 6 choices that we had presented. In addition, she claimed that we could not have a copy of the information that she had compiled. My guess is that she plagarized the information and did not to get caught. She also told us that she would be there every step of the way. She wanted to assist in essay writing, review all documents. This was included in the price that we had paid. Duuring our meetings, she had said commented that she wanted to read all personal statements and essays that are required for college submission. When this time came to be late Aug 2013, Sandra was no where to be found. My child sent numerous e-mails with no repsonse or responses such as I will get to it ASAP. Over 5 weeks later, she still said she would get to it ASAP. Needless to say, that is when I sent an e-mail indicating never to contact my child again. (Keep in mind that it now September and applications adeadlines for her major interest of studies are due Oct 1). Excuses such as, basement flooded, 7 funerals in 2 months, son is getting a divorce, out of town. She had no intent on fulfilling her commitment. Nov 7, I get an e-amil "re-explaining" her services. This is not what she explained in our meetings. I just want our $475 erturned for fraudulent services. I want to spend this money on our childs education.I have spoken with another client of Sandra's who also had the same experience.Desired Settlement: Refund of my $475 for fraudulent services.
