The customer brought in her Buick Lacrosse with 94,miles in December of for repairsIt should be noted that she purchased the vehicle from another dealership with an extended warranty she bought elsewhere as wellThe diagnosis was internal transmission part failureAs there are
hundreds of different parts inside the transmission, we were instructed by her warranty company to repair only the parts that had failedWhen she brought the vehicle back for transmission repairs (with miles now at 106,573) in September of 2015, a different internal part of the transmission had failed and her warranty at that time had expiredAs a goodwill gesture, we agreed to absorb approximately 50% of the transmission repair even though she had not purchased the car or the warranty through us, to which she agreedWe completed the repairs on September 18, As a quality control procedure, our service manager wanted to drive the car one more time to make sure the transmission was in working orderHe intended to do this on Monday and call her afterwards to let her know her car was readyUnfortunately, before she picked up the vehicle, it was involved in a fire which resulted in a total lossHer insurance company picked up the vehicle and we absorbed the entire cost of the transmission repairsAs always, our goal is to serve our customers in the best way possible and we regret any inconvenienceThank you
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
The issue of $100.00 dollar deposit with Mr. [redacted] has been resolved. A Sandoval company check was issued to him on 03/04/2015. Due to some personnel changes within our Company any contact to the dealership by Mr. [redacted] was not passed on to our business office to make a refund in a timely manner. I have contacted him and advised of the resolution to this oversight.
