Thank you for giving us the opportunity to present our side of the storyWe have sold over cars, a good number of those were sold to members of armed forces and their familiesWe have
never had issues with any of our clientsNo one has ever complained anywhere and this is the first time someone posted something negative regarding the dealershipThe customer presented his side of the story but missed some key points, we will like to add those.
First of all the car was sold through the dealership, we have the proper paperwork for everything which is listed throughout this lettermeans once the car is sold, we are not responsible for any repairsAfter the customer bought the car, he came back after couple days to buy the extended warrantyThis extended warranty is through a third party company (Reliable Protection); we have no connection to them, other than that we sell their servicesThe customer has to directly go through Warranty Company if they claim the warrantyThe warranty paperwork clearly shows what is and what is not covered under the warranty, and it was very clearly communicated to the customerMoreover he did read through the contract and signed
Few days later after buying the car, the customer sent a text saying that the check engine light is onWe always help our clients after the car is sold, even if all cars are sold as-isIt’s not common but every once a while, clients experience some issues with the used cars and we take care of itWe extended the same courtesy to this customerThe customer dropped off the car at the lot, and made us sign a contract which stated that we will fix the check engine light and the smell of burning oil issueWe took it to one of our mechanics and it was the catalytic convertorThat is a very expensive fix, in the $rangeThe receipt is attached with this letter, we did fix it and one of our mechanics installed brand new catalytic convertor(s)Furthermore steps were taken to eliminate the smell of burning oil
The customer picked up the car after it was fixedAfter a day the customer complained the check engine light is back on also customer smells burning oilCustomer was not able to bring the car back because of examsWe asked the customer to bring the car whenever they feel it’s easy for themWe don’t know the exact dates but after few weeks, the customer did bring the car backOriginal claim was that the check engine light was on, but when customer dropped the car, there was no check engine light onThe new complaint was that customer still smells burning oil and there is a vibration when the car gets to mph which he later on added to the list of problems which was never part of our original contract
All the problems customer listed are not covered by the extended warranty, yet we still work with the customer and agreed to fix these issuesThe burning oil smell issue was an easy fix, it was fixed immediatelyThe vibration at mph was a huge challenge for multiple mechanics we took it toWe spent a huge chunk of money fixing that issue, changed all engine mounts, transmission mounts, wheel bearings, wheel balancing, and too many things list
To find a solution to this problem we had to replace various parts, this did take timeYes the whole process took longer than expected but no one had experience in fixing this vibration issueEach mechanic we took it to, had a new theory on how to fix it and ordering parts and getting that done took a long timeIn all this time the customer was very patient, and we were very appreciative about itWe did sent him periodic updates on the vibration issue
All the mechanics used are no way connected to the dealership, they are all independent businessesFinally after months of fixing and replacing various parts on the car, one of the mechanics was able to fix the vibrationThe customer came to the mechanic shop to pick it up, did the test drive in detail and was happy with the outcomeThey left with the car and after few weeks I got a text saying the car has transmission issues, customer will take action against us and customer will not use our mechanic

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Respondent's details of the incidents are fabricated on much of this story. I have text messages to prove my complaint. I specifically explained to the seller what type of warranty I wanted. I asked him for a warranty that clearly covered transmission, engine, and any major issues with the vehicle. I have a witness that heard the conversation. I read this warranty and the seller confirmed it was the warranty I asked for. The warranty holder was contacted by Henry's Radiator & Auto Repair Shop and myself. The warranty holder informed me that they did not cover the repairs that the repair shop found and I was sold the wrong warranty, to take the vehicle back to the seller because the need to fix the problem. I contacted the seller and they tried to tell me it was the correct warranty. After I told him that I talked to the warranty holder they recommended I bring it back to them and have their mechanic fix everything. I thought it would be fair to allow them to fix the vehicle. They were not at their office. I saw no receipts, nor parts. Engine lightcame on again on next day. I text him to let him know. Before I brought it back the light went out a w/eek or so before. He attached a receipt for 5/22/15. They is a false document. I did not return the vehicle until 5pm on 5/22/15 and he was not in town. He left me a text to give the key to his next door private dealership. His mechanic (Caucasian male) happened to be there and I told him all the things that was happening and he even took a ride with me. I have a witness. In September, I thought things were done. I had my brother drive it and he told me he felt a jerking like things were worse now. I didn't take it to drive until the following Saturday. I waited til I could take it in to Henry's, the engine light came on again I noticed it was worse than before. I managed to get it to my mechanic who called me the next day and told me all of the initial work was not done and the transmission was out. They recommended I not take it back. I texted the seller to let them know I would be seeking further action and no longer wanted to have them touch it again. "AS IS" is no excuse to rob buyers or not maintain integrity and honesty. I feel sorry for all the military people that took out loans or paid for those vehicles, because most of them were lied to just like I was. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to present our side of the story. We have sold over 200 cars, a good number of those were sold to members of armed forces and their families. We have never had issues with any of our clients. No one has ever complained anywhere and this is the first time...
someone posted something negative regarding the dealership. The customer presented his side of the story but missed some key points, we will like to add those. First of all the car was sold AS-IS through the dealership, we have the proper paperwork for everything which is listed throughout this letter. AS-IS means once the car is sold, we are not responsible for any repairs. After the customer bought the car, he came back after couple days to buy the extended warranty. This extended warranty is through a third party company (Reliable Protection); we have no connection to them, other than that we sell their services. The customer has to directly go through Warranty Company if they claim the warranty. The warranty paperwork clearly shows what is and what is not covered under the warranty, and it was very clearly communicated to the customer. Moreover he did read through the contract and signed. Few days later after buying the car, the customer sent a text saying that the check engine light is on. We always help our clients after the car is sold, even if all cars are sold as-is. It’s not common but every once a while, clients experience some issues with the used cars and we take care of it. We extended the same courtesy to this customer. The customer dropped off the car at the lot, and made us sign a contract which stated that we will fix the check engine light and the smell of burning oil issue. We took it to one of our mechanics and it was the catalytic convertor. That is a very expensive fix, in the $900 range. The receipt is attached with this letter, we did fix it and one of our mechanics installed brand new catalytic convertor(s). Furthermore steps were taken to eliminate the smell of burning oil. The customer picked up the car after it was fixed. After a day the customer complained the check engine light is back on also customer smells burning oil. Customer was not able to bring the car back because of exams. We asked the customer to bring the car whenever they feel it’s easy for them. We don’t know the exact dates but after few weeks, the customer did bring the car back. Original claim was that the check engine light was on, but when customer dropped the car, there was no check engine light on. The new complaint was that customer still smells burning oil and there is a vibration when the car gets to 80 mph which he later on added to the list of problems which was never part of our original contract. All the problems customer listed are not covered by the extended warranty, yet we still work with the customer and agreed to fix these issues. The burning oil smell issue was an easy fix, it was fixed immediately. The vibration at 80 mph was a huge challenge for multiple mechanics we took it to. We spent a huge chunk of money fixing that issue, changed all engine mounts, transmission mounts, wheel bearings, wheel balancing, and too many things list. To find a solution to this problem we had to replace various parts, this did take time. Yes the whole process took longer than expected but no one had experience in fixing this vibration issue. Each mechanic we took it to, had a new theory on how to fix it and ordering parts and getting that done took a long time. In all this time the customer was very patient, and we were very appreciative about it. We did sent him periodic updates on the vibration issue. All the mechanics used are no way connected to the dealership, they are all independent businesses. Finally after months of fixing and replacing various parts on the car, one of the mechanics was able to fix the vibration. The customer came to the mechanic shop to pick it up, did the test drive in detail and was happy with the outcome. They left with the car and after few weeks I got a text saying the car has transmission issues, customer will take action against us and customer will not use our mechanic. After all the energy we put into fixing the car, spent thousands of dollars and countless hours repairing the smallest of issues, this is how the customer shows appreciation. Customer files a complaint against us, without giving us a chance to fix the new problem he has. After all this; we still agreed to fix the latest concern. All the things we fixed; we were not required to; the car was sold AS-IS, the extended warranty doesn’t cover any of those issues. But we still fixed it, just to help out the customer and doing the right thing. We are not interested in going back and forth on this matter, this is the complete story and we would’ve fixed the latest problem but we were never given a chance. The customer decided to get it fixed and that is something not in our control.
We don’t appreciate being called
liars, he is the most unappreciative customer we have ever had. He thinks all
the issues like the check engine light for catalytic converter, the engine oil
leak and the vibration at 80 mph just magically disappeared. He thinks we just
kept the car for months and gave him back as is, fixing nothing. The multiple
mechanics he met were actors we hired. The brand new catalytic converter which
can be seen easily on the bottom of his car is an optical illusion. The oil
burning smell he used to smell just mysteriously gone. The strong vibration at
80 mph miraculously disappeared. All the receipts which he received from
multiple mechanics and money we spent on the car is all fabricated.
How does anyone deal with this
situation? When he can clearly see we fixed everything he asked for, he has all
the receipts from all the mechanics. He can clearly see all the new parts
installed, all the problems resolved. And still he is accusing us of not doing
anything. After fixing all this stuff, which took months and thousands of
dollars and countless hours; he is claiming it was all fabricated. He took the
car first time, and brought it back claiming the check engine light came on the
second day. But when he brought back after almost a month there was no light on
the dash, he just wanted us to fix other little things which he added later on.
Basically he wanted to buy a used car, but it should have been a brand new one
with 0 issues or problems.
The reason behind this complaint
is not to return the car, he clearly loves the car and wants to keep it. The
only reason is to bad mouth the dealership. Anyone who reads the complaints and
the replies will understand how unreasonable the customer actually is. After
fixing everything, when he had more problems, we did agree to fix it. It was
his decision not to seek our help and get it done somewhere else. How is this
our fault?
There are absolutely no
complaints anywhere regarding the dealership proves our excellent level of service
over the years. We take pride in our work, and make sure every client is happy
even after selling the cars. In this case, we did everything we could to make
this customer happy. But it seems like there is no pleasing him, he is not even
acknowledging the fact that we fixed all the issues for him, and we agreed to
fix his last issues as well. The transmission doesn’t just go bad overnight, might
be something really small, but of course if you take it to any mechanic they
will try to change the whole thing which makes them way more money. We could’ve
fixed this issue if given a chance.
The only negative thing in all
this is that we took more time than expected, but we did explain the reason. If
anything take it out on the mechanic. It was a strange vibration at 80 mph which
no one could figure out. It was all trial and error, and the mechanic replaced multiple
parts for that. And all this time his car was on priority, but ordering parts
takes time. Most of them were special order parts which took a week or more to
order. It’s a Mitsubishi Montero, the parts are not readily available like other
brands. Bottom line is we fixed it, all the issues he had. You can all see the
thanks we received.
About the claim car didn’t pass
smog; well legally we can’t sell a car without it passing smog test. In this
case, yes the car passed smog before we sold it to him, the test date and pass confirmation
can be reviewed online on the smog history website. The DMV does not finish the
registration for the car till smog is done, we were able to send him the
plates, and registration and tags within couple weeks of him buying the car
proves the car passed smog.
We will like to thank Revdex.com.org for
giving us an opportunity to communicate the facts regarding this complaint.
