Review: I had called Sanders Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki to pick up my motorcycle for inspection, battery, oil change and to check the shifting on my 1998 Suzuki Intruder. It was picked up by them and set for service. I was going to be in South Carolina for a few weeks for work and had been in frequent contact with the shop as shown in my call records. I kept asking what the progress was and was always given that they had to talk to the mechanic. I arrived back in New Castle to on April 19th and called to pick up my motorcycle. I talked to [redacted] who said the bill was going to be around $300.00. That was an acceptable figure and told him that I would be there later in the day to pick the motorcycle up. About 15 minutes later, [redacted] called back to tell me that the bill is $675.00. When I asked for what, he told me for carburetor repair. I had never been told about a carburetor issue on any previous call. I told him that I was coming up there. When I got there, I asked why I was not made aware of the issue. The owner came up to me and I asked him about repairs that I did not approve. He threw the bill on the counter and lost his temper. He said that "You people want your bikes to run and don't want to pay for it". I told him that I was not made aware of the carburetor repair and the bike was running before he picked it up. It just needed a battery. The two employees at the counter apologized to me. One being [redacted] and the other name I did not get. I asked for some reprieve. The cashier gave me a break on the parts charge which brought it down to around $612.00. Still double of what I was told. I paid the bill and am now filing a complaint. In reading reviews of this company, I find that this is a common practice. In reading repair laws in Pennsylvania, repairs over $100.00 have to be disclosed and approved prior to any work being done. This was not explained, nor approved. A hard copy with call records and the bill will be forthcoming. Call log enclosed.Desired Settlement: A refund of services and parts that were not disclosed or approved
