My sister in law and her new bride were due to leave from Newark to Antigua today 11/30/on their honeymoonThey went to check in to their flights last night & was told by United that their flight was cancelled back in AprilThey booked their (very expensive) package back in March, received flight confirmation with assigned seats and an airline record locator in October, but were never notified by Sandals that the flight was cancelled! How does one get assigned seats and a record locator in October for a flight that was cancelled in April?! They both called Sandals and after much debate were told that Sandals cannot help them, but offered a full refundTheir honeymoon is now RUINED! They cannot be the only ones in this TERRIBLE predicament! & the Sandals Facebook page will not let me post this for others to see!!! My husband and I went to Sandals Antigua in April for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time...we are the ones who recommended them to go here & now this!! What a terrible experience, I expected so much more out of Sandals! The airlines are pointing the finger at Sandals and Sandals is pointing the finger at the airlines, no one is taking responsibility, no one is apologizing and no one is making this right! Yes, they offered a refund, but what type of customer service is this!?

Horrible experience at this place the staff was very rude and no organization at all first of all when we got to the resort apparently they couldn't find our room they told us we were supposed to be on the other side of the resort when we got to the other side they said no that they were wrong and we had to go back we were waiting for two hours to give us our room I was really upset when we got to the room it wasn't even ready there were welcome notes every where with the last guest last name the refrigerator was emptyI ordered room service and they took hours to bring me a sandwich the resort was under construction at 7:30am they started working right outside my balcony they were remodeling both of the only stairs at the same time there was construction everywhereThe staff was very rude they didn't care about their guest I ask my waiter for a mimosa and he told me to go get it myself or to get it after breakfast ???? the food was horrible and I found a cockroach in room
I LOVE Sandals Resorts -- Negril, Jamaica is my favorite and I have been there times and have more trips booked in the coming year I also love Antigua, but the flight is a little long Negril has a fabulous beach, friendly and very helpful staff that cannot do enough to cater to your every request

Their pictures on their website for their St. Lucia Halcyon Resort were nothing like how it was in reality. We booked the resort expecting it was a tropical oasis. Instead it was a resort full of mold and decrepitness. Construction started early in the morning to late afternoon next to our room. Resort management was extremely rude. Sandals customer service via phone would not do anything for us. It took them almost 3 days for them to transfer us to another resort. I wrote to sandals customer support and their way of making up a fully ruined honeymoon is just a refund for the 2 full days we were at the halcyon resort. I would never recommend to them another person again.
