Review: I am writing this on behalf of [redacted], as he has a TBI, it is difficult for him to fill out forms. Dennis adopted a dog May 17th, 2013.The dog was sick, had a cough. He called SLO Animal Services, they said it was a kennel cough it would go away. The dog did not eat for five days, have a bowel movement or urinate. When the dog did eat it got diarrhea and vomiting.He had 14 days to return the dog. They did not inform him days they were closed including Memorial Holiday counted towards the 14 days. He returned the dog Monday, June 3rd. They would not refund his $124 after calls complaining about the sick dog.The dog was again adopted June 5th and had to be taken to a vet for the same problems. A total of $248 paid for a sick dog.We respectfully request help in getting the $124 refunded. They have refused to do so after requesting a refund in person and phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would like the $124 refunded since they did not inform him the 14 days included holidays and when they are closed. Also they have collected twice for the same dog.
