Review: We contacted San Diego Resort Rentals in January 2015 for a short term vacation rental in St Louis, MO for July of 2015. We made an initial payment of $250 by credit card and then sent a check for $500 with the return of the rental contract. Due to health problems, we had to cancel this rental. We notified SDRR in late March. They immediately refunded the $250 that had been paid by credit card. We received no further refund even though we gave over 90 day notice of the cancellation. Repeated contacts via phone and email were made. Typical responses were: "we already paid you" - "we are researching this" - "you should have the refund within 2 weeks" - and the latest, by email dated May 17th..."After looking into your email, I do not think we did send a check. I just cut it and it will be in the mail tomorrow. So sorry! Our mistake."

To date we have not received a check. I also note that they claim that there is a $250 cancellation fee. Even if that is true, we would still get a refund of $250 from the $500 we paid by check. I do not recall any cancellation fees - except if you cancelled just prior to the rental. We gave 90 day notice.

Please note that the contract states - "Cancellation Policy - For cancellations received less than 60 days prior to arrival date, a 25% cancellation fee will be applied".Desired Settlement: 1. Refund
