To be clear, each and every single one of your "call outs" have either beenrepaired or done, several days to weeks ago, or we are not at that stage yetin the project. Referencing orange peel texture and flooring  has nothing todo with a drywall invoice or a plumbing invoice. My only goal today is toreceive payment for my drywall invoice which is due. That being said, theplumbing invoice is due and has been due for at least a week. You takingthe full contractual 5 days before addressing me does not foster any goodwill, but quite the opposite. It's not like its a final payment you aremaking. You make it so incredibly hard for me to get paid...eachsuccessive payment has gotten twice as hard to get from you, and that isnot fair. I don't deserve to have to beg to get my money that is owed tome. That being said, get through this and I've put an offer in the lastparagraph that will help us both. There have been many, many things on this project which were out of my control preventing me fromcompleting on time. The biggest issues are as follows in order.1)Glazing-We were promised that the windows would be delivered in 7-9 dayswhich turned out to be 6 weeks! When prompted for an update I was repeatedly told that "they should be onthe next truck".This is clearly out of my control and the job progress was dependent onthe windows being in inorder for us to wrap the exterior and do drywall.Once the windows arrived, the project has gotten back on track.2)Inspections- The city of San Diego and every other jurisdiction in theCounty of San Diego has a "next day policy" on inspections. Chula Vista isexperiencing an unprecedented issue with relation to being able to performinspections in a timely manner. The inspections have been running 10 daysat least until the last couple of weeks. This has led to me having toorder the inspection when I think that I am ten days from being ready. Acouple of times we weren't yet ready, a couple of times the inspector cameout early and I missed him. Either way, when there was a correction to bemade, they were always minor corrections, even if there were many, theywere still minor.Meaning that I would have 9 days of down time before getting approval ofmy corrections. This happened several times costing about a month.3) Mother Nature- I don't think that there is anyone who wouldn't agree thatthe weather is out of my control. During the course of this project welost about a week and a half due to weather.4)Engineering- As a result of waiting for the engineer to free up time inhis schedule and come downfrom LA we lost time. Also waiting for him to formulate a responseto [redacted]s requests took time. We built the addition per plan yet severaltimes my integrity as a builderwas questioned because [redacted] deemed the plans to beinsufficient.)Extra Work- There is no doubt that we have done atremendous amount of additional work. The house has had a ton of repairwork done to it. I would put the length of time for the additional workdone at about 2 weeks.[redacted] it is my sincere goal to generate enough good will to get the jobcomplete. If you will come to our meeting with an open heart and yourcheck book I will make you an offer that I think will really benefit you, allowing you to get what you want and me to get what I need to get yourjobdone.Sincerely,[redacted]

I believe we have resolved the issue sans-serif;">Thanks[redacted]

The main reason I selected SDCB was the A+ Revdex.com rating. The Revdex.com issue dispute process was written into our construction contract. This complaint is exclusively that SDCB has not followed the agreement reached as an outcome of the Revdex.com dispute resolution process, or followed the Revdex.com rules of good faith effort. SDCB was contracted for $176,000 and 6 months to construct per approved permit and plans. I filed a Revdex.com complaint that work was not done per the contract. The Revdex.com provided expert advice during its complaint investigation, resolved the complaint, and the agreement reached was written into the contract. The agreement included a $ 30,000.00 advance payment, and that SDCB would become compliant with the original contract. I filed a second complaint for work not done per requirements clarified by the Revdex.com agreement. During the time of Revdex.com investigations from June 24 to September 28, 2015, one building inspection was passed and 30 city building inspections were denied, cancelled, or not ready. These document failure to do work in accordance with the Revdex.com agreement modified into our contract. With days left in the contract [redacted] stopped work leaving an open roof, unfinished framing, and incomplete electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough in work. I asked [redacted] to provide a settlement for the unfinished work. [redacted] did not work in good faith on that either. After that the Revdex.com closed my complaint as an unresolved dispute. The actual project required 10 months and more than $200,000 to correct and complete, and more than half of the work was done by other licensed contractors. The San Diego court web site provides public record of civil and criminal law suits available for anyone to review any time at no charge. See that [redacted] has initiated More than 25 civil law suits in San Diego over the past years, and has 1 criminal (not civil) conviction. How can the Revdex.com continue to A+ recommend businesses that work like this?Desired Outcome: San Diego Custom Builders should comply with the payment schedule of our written contract. SDCB should issue a revised final invoice that credits the cost to correct/complete the work for which progress payments were made and does not include any charges for items of work that were started in lieu of doing the prioritized work listed in the Revdex.com negotiated agreement. San Diego Custom Builders should promptly return overpayment for work not completed.
