The change machine at the laundromat ate my $20 bill. I did not see until after the fact, the tiny label/sticker that said it does not accept $20's. My issue is this: even if it does not accept that denomination, it should at least spit my money back out. The machine kept the money. I made management aware of this and she simply said it was because it was a $20 bill. I informed her that 1) if it doesn't give the money back that its theft, and 2) another customer had the same problem with a $5. This shows that it wasn't just my $20. This is not the first issue I've had with this laundromat. About a month prior, their machines burned holes in some of my girlfriend's laundry (sheets) and made others stiff as a board, while others still had to be rewashed because the machines did not agitate and spin the water out. This also caused her to spend more money on dryers. I'm not expecting to get reimbursed for the damaged laundry; that's part of the responsibility we accept for using the facility. However, I do take issue with them telling her that the extra money she spent because she had to rewash and dry for longer would be refunded, and she still haven't seen that money either. Not to mention the fact that their machines are in such poor condition that they would cause that damage to her laundry. All together that laundromat owes me $27.50 for the change machine incident and the sheets incident. The manager has failed to follow up on anything she has said she would do and has gone so far as to ignore my attempts to get in touch with her.
Good evening! I appreciate your thorough follow through in regards to the $27.50 we owe you. I apologize that this has been such a stressful and inconvenient situation for you and your girlfriend. I see from the Revdex.com that you stated this happened back in June. I have no issue giving you back your money and I again I apologize that it took you going to the Revdex.com to retrieve your money. If you would like your refund, you can meet me at the laundromat so we can settle this situation. Pick a date and time and I will see if it works with my schedule. I could leave the money but I want to make sure I give it to you personally. Thank you!
