Over the past months I have been scheduled for a screening mammogram and a screening colonoscopy Both were supposed to be preventative and covered by my insurance at 100% August the mammogram was coded incorrectly listing a diagnosis of "post menopausal disorder" and I was charged my deductible plus 20% There was no mention of this disorder from my doctor nor was it in my chart I finally got resolution on that issue after months of phone calls to Community I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on June and just received a phone stating I am responsible for 20% of the charges When I explained it was supposed to be preventative and covered at 100% the billing clerk stated it was coded as medical so there would be a charge I'm tired of these coding errors and having to spend my time on the phone fixing the doctor's coding errors I am left with a bad taste in my mouth about the billing services of this hospital and am seriously considering changing hospitals just for this reason
