Sammy's Blacktop & Sealcoating

We have used Sammy's for a few years now and we are totally satisfied with their work. They are very freindly and professional.
I like that after they seal coat, they drive by at a later date to make sure everything is up to their standards. They will even come back and fix areas that need to be fixed, even if it was caused by the property owner.

For full disclosure. I receive 3 quotes for a driveway tear out and re asphalt. Sammy's quote came in at the lowest cost. They did not show up on planned date. I called multiple times to reschedule without returned calls. The explanation given was the equipment was broken. Once scheduled again they wanted half payment upfront, then did tear out, then requested other half before they would finish the job. The completed driveway was not done well. The asphalt doesn't stick and pot holes created, the sides were not smoothed out and excess material was left leaving sides rigid. The asphalt depth is very thin and I have pimples appearing. I've called Sammy's with my concerns. They have acknowledged my concerns and have indicated they will fix it but have not done anything. I've called them many times and again get an excuse on why they haven't been out to fix the problems. I am still holding out hope they fix the problems but I highly doubt they will. I do not want anyone to experience the same kind of poor service and quality that I have and spend money on a poor job that will need to be redone.

Sammys Blacktop contacted us on the evening of Saturday, October 3 and asked if they could come the following morning to reseal our driveway. We said yes. They did come and the job has finally been completed.

home. Then the second time it started raining. Then winter came on. We are willing to come and repair the 5-6 cracks that came open. But I think doing the whole driveway is a little much to ask. The cost was $225.00 and we received a check for 200.00 we did not make any attempts to collect the rest owe. We are sorry this happen and are willing to work with the customer.

We had them out the week of June 9th while we were on vacation- we wrote a check #6650 for 220.00 on June 23rd. I didn't realize that I had shorted them 5 dollars. We called Sammys July 10th to inform them of the cracks in the driveway and every month after that. We have a concrete pad where we park cars- we don't park cars on driveway in question. They had ample time to come out and fix the cracks - since it didn't snow until November. I want the cracks sealed that they said they were going to do last year. Additional cracks have opened up and I would accept 1/2 price for fixing all the cracks -old & new- considering the amount of time we have put into this. [redacted]

We will come out and fix the cracks that came open last year, any cracks that where done in the past we will do for 1/2 price ($112.50) but any new cracks that need to be done will be additional charge. and we also ask that any weeds have weed killer put on them. We ask that of every one.

Warning: Sammy and Cricket still owe us house rent from over 4 years ago. He does great work sealing driveways but did not pay us in full for a service we provided to him. Thus it is hard to provide a positive recommendation.

June of 2014, Sammys sealcoating did my driveway and I was of the understanding they stand behind their work and that the sealcoating would last at least two years. In the spring of 2015, I noticed the sealcoating was "flaking " and the crack sealing was coming off.
They were notified three times during 2015 to come and fix the driveway and there always was an excuse, from " my phone number got lost to they were short on help".
Have I contacted them this year , "NO", I am busy looking for a new company to do business with.
