1. "Tires are about 3/4, still have a year or two on them." Truth: worn down to wear bars.
2. "Front damage is cosmetic." Truth: broken front motor mounts, compressor fan pushed against leaking radiator, missing wheel well inserts, repaired with baling wire.
3. "My mechanic says she's good to go, he detailed her." Truth: bad brakes, bad struts, oil leak, rusted radiator/thermostat, bad wipers, control module won't program a spare key... Repair cost: $3000 not including anything "cosmetic".
--I'm a 65-year-old disabled veteran, who should have known better, but had never been lied-to by a licensed dealer before. Bought it as-is based on their word. So, DO NOT trust their words, have your own mechanic check first. Accurate Auto Beaverton and Northwest Jeep Chrysler are righteously indignant on my behalf, and wonder what kind of person would let a grandmother drive this off the lot...
