thorough reviewwas completed by SSM Health StAnthony Hospital Patient Advocate. It was determined thecare provided to the patientwas appropriate. The PatientAdvocate spoke withMr. [redacted] with results of review.Billing: A review of charges was completed by
SSM Health Registered Nurse Auditor. It was determined the charges were
appropriate. SSM Heath Patient Liaison contacted Mr. [redacted] with the
results of the review.A 25%
adjustment was offered to Mr. [redacted] on the patient liability of $421.48. Mr. [redacted] stated the adjustment is not
enough to satisfy his concerns. It was explained his account will follow the normal billing process, and
if not paid, it may end up in bad debt.Patient statedhe will be seeking legal counsel. I requested he contact me directly
with Attorney information, once obtained, so it can be entered into the account notes. Mr. [redacted] thanked me for my assistance.
