I ordered to go a poon choi, which is traditional dish/food for Chinese New Year, from Saigon Seafood Harbor Restaurant in January 2020. The food came absolutely cold, and it took us hours to warm it, as it was instructed by the restaurant, so that it became just warm enough to eat, but unfortunately it was already past meal time. Moreover, the food became spoiled and we felt sick after eating the food. We had no choice but to throw away the food. We came back and complained about the bad quality of the food and the extremely long warming time, the restaurant staff and the owner of the restaurant, apologized and said the food shouldn't come cold and it must be a mistake from them. They also apologized for the spoiled food, and the owner said he could offer a partial refund. We were not too mad about the restaurant since we have been long-time customers. So later we decided to take the owner's apologies and accept his refund. However, the owner and the restaurant staff insisted us to come in person to their restaurant to pick up the refund in an envelope, whereas, we asked for an electronic refund for convenience and fast delivery since we paid via credit card and we do not have much time to come to their restaurant. The restaurant staff said they would contact the owner about the electronic refund method and that the owner would call me back. Then I waited, but no call from the owner at all. So I spent about 2 weeks keep calling the owner and the restaurant, but I always got the same response that the owner would call me eventually. Now I have no choice but to submit a complaint to Revdex.com for help since I couldn't get a hold of the owner. My call to him is always forwarded to an already full voicemail box. I couldn't understand why it is so hard to get the supposed refund even though they admit it was their fault.
