When customer service at SafeStep was called to discuss this problem, they would not even talk to the family. They had their money and no longer cared, not their problem.
One other problem, after installation, water flow to the toilet and to the sink in the bathroom has been reduced. Toilet not flushing as strong, and air flowing with running sink water.
The shower experience for my year old mother in law was a total disappointmentThe water controls and the shower head are so far from the 'sit' that she has to stand or have another person with hernot what was requested and promised to getThere is no shower caddie so no place to put toiletries! The installation was not done when promisedHave expressed our disappointment to the Nashville office and returned a missed call from *** *** and have not heard back! Worst experience ever
Purchased an $18k tub from safe step in PA. This particular location closed its doors, thus referring all customers to headquarters in Nashville, TN. Called the number provided (which had changed) in January, to no avail. No response, resolution, or otherwise follow up what so ever for a tub that is leaking into the basement. My assistant called 2/21/17 to be given the run around, called 4 different numbers. The first two did not answer at all during business hours, the second said that I was placed on the "do not call" list and had no record of ever buying a tub. She mentioned that Safe Step Walk-In Tub Co. was not in the business of scamming, even though the situation was expressively hairy from this end. Her head set was having issues so she hung up with no warning. Though she called back later to provide the corporate phone number for secretary to see if corporate office may or may not have a record of the file, she could only guess. Secretary called corporate in Nashville, the service dept. representative said that since they had taken over the store in PA, they've had many issues with receiving paperwork from that particular store. She asked if secretary would fax the contract to their office as they did not have a copy. Their fax number was not working/ busy. Not only was this whole experience ugly and unprofessional, the disclaimer that she had to read at the end was to ensure that if their tub was not responsible they would not be repairing damages and customer is responsible. Now, I've read multiple complaints on their company, (which is by the way, literally ALL that they have. COMPLAINTS) which suggest that this company is notorious for blaming the install or issues on something else that is invalid; Such as the scenario in which they tried to blame rodents which was later found to be false. This company is SCAMMERS! They are NOT professional and are horrible to work with! Save your money and your piece of mind and buy elsewhere!
I purchased a Safestep walk in tub 4 years ago, during that period of time have had to replace the almost all of the tub components, including the lights and switches that control the air and motors, replaced the pump. The tub was adjusted twice, now appears to require another adjustment. Door leaks have had the technicians out to repair in early January and here it is Late February and have not heard a word from anyone other then getting a $ 250 bill..my question is for what?? When calling the main office have had good response, however the last call in December the lady who anwered the call was less then friendly. I am still waiting for them to fix the door and make the adjustment, mean time I have water leaking out on to the sub flooring.
