Unfortunately, one employee can ruin the reputation of a company as "accountant" Sherry did for this otherwise competent company. The movers were professional, pleasant, and competent. There were two eays out for my piano to be moved - one involved an incline, the other stairs. They charge extra for stairs & that is what they recommended as the safest. I accepted their advice & was fine with the extra charge. They left & said they had other stops to make, but gave me a window of time when they would arrive at my new house. They were actually early & my helper let them in. By time I arrived, they were gone but left their invoice of $214 behind. The invoice had no business address on it to mail a check so I called them. It took three calls to get through & they were very nice, gave me the address, & I mailed the check. I was quite taken back when I received a call several days later from a Sherry who identified herself as an accountant. She was angry & aggressive & said, " we have had to chase you for days & days to get this bill paid." Then she said she actually had the check but I shorted them $100 & that she had proof I had approved the extra charge for steps which took the bill to $314. When I took offense at her tone & tried to explain that my check was written in accordance with the invoice left behind, she actually started yelling over me while I was mid-explanation. If the employee left the wrong invoice that was fine & all that needed to ge said & I would have paid the difference. When I asked her to listen to what I was saying so she would understand, she hung up on me. I called back & she wouldn't answer the phone. On voicemail I asked for the owner to call me. I have yet to hear from him. I sent a copy of the invoice to this company so they would understand why I wrote a $214 check instead of a $314 check. I sent a check for the balance to tjis company, but woukd never use them or recommend them to anyone again. Life is too short to deal with unprofessional people.
