We only charged the customer 3 hours diagnostic time at our labor rate of $101 per hour. Before preforming any work this diagnostic charge was approved and agreed upon by the customer. The engine was torn down and we even gave the customer the opportunity to look at the engine issue...
before we put it back together. We also worked hard for the customer to try and find the least expensive repair option but they declined the repairs. Our diagnostic charge was a fair charge and approved/reviewed with the customer before any work was done. If the customer felt like it was unfair they should not have had us do the diagnostic for them. We would not have proceeded with the diagnostic for anything less.
We are going to contact the customer to resolve the matter by refunding them for the windshield
