more information on this situation. [redacted], as you may know noticed that his window tint started to form bubbles which is completely covered by our lifetime warranty. Our regulations on the warranty is that the customer must have the original receipt (or photo) present. On the receipt we note the license plate number as well as the make and model of the car.AS we proceed to examine the bubbles on the vehicle we noticed (a) the bubbles were not air or water bubbles but were scratches that happen when metal like the seatbelt hits the glass (b) that the plate number did not match the plate number on the receipt. We concluded that we can replace the driver side tint because there were dots that appeared to be bubbles (pictures are attached) but we still needed to see the old tags. When asked if changed his plates he did inform us that he had temp plates at the time of the tint job. We asked if he had a copy of the old plates just to confirm it's the same car he said that he has to retrieve it from the dealer.He returned a few days later with the temp tags and insisted in getting a darker tint than originally paid for. We informed that the warranty could only cover the tints originally put on the car. In the end, the driver side window tint was replaced. We have also learned a valuable lesson with this and will no longer write the plate number but instead write the last 6 of the VIN.Thank you for your time.
