ID No: ***
The following is my response to the complaint file by Mrs*** R***.
Summary of the incident:
On 3/14/I received a call to have some bees removed from the backyard of a home located at *** *** *** *** *** ** ***. We quoted the customer a price of $to remove the beesWhen we arrived at the residence, Mrs*** informed us that the bees were in the back corner of the back yard (See attached diagram). Upon investigation, a landscaping crew pointed out that the bees were located inside a decorative fake plastic rock. We survey the area and this was the only place the bees were located
We proceeded to remove the bees and treated the area inside the decorative fake plastic rockUpon completion of the work, we issued the customer invoice (see copy attached)for $125.00, which client paid in full with a check. Would like to point out that our invoices specify that “our guarantee includes the same spot where bees were treated and worked performed by us.”
Two weeks later, on 4/1/2014, we received a call from Mrs*** that the bees had returned to the back corner of the yard. We went to investigate the area and determined a different bee swamped had infested a utility sprinkle box but not the same spot we had previously treated. I informed Mrs*** that the bees were not in the same spot previously treated and her response was, “they need to be removed because I am allergic to bees”. I interpreted that comment as a green light to remove the bees which I then proceed to do so at that same moment
I then left the client a message that my charge for the work would be $for the bees removal from the second spot. The next day when I arrived to complete the job, I spoke to Mrs*** husband and explain why this was an additional costs. He acknowledges that Mrs*** misunderstood and offered me $for the job. I met him halfway and agreed to only charge him $which he went ahead and paid(Invoice No attached)
I was under the assumption that the client was satisfied with the work that was performed and that they clearly understood that the second charge was based on the fact that it was a different area that was treated for the bees Therefore I was quite surprised went the client filed a complaint. I read her complaint where she does not understand if there were no bees in the utility sprinkle box back on 3/14/14, how so many bees could have accumulated in a matter of two weeks that would justify a $charge. I believe Mrs*** has failed to understand that bees can accumulate in a large number in only a matter of hours
I would like to conclude that I have been involved in this business for over years and had never once had a complaint filed against me. I believe this is due to the fact the I have always provide great service as well as very reasonable fees for my services
Review: I had this company come and remove beehive in the corner of my backyard on 3/14/14. The warranty was for 1 month. The bees were back within less than 2 weeks. When I asked them to come and fix the problem they stated that it was a different site and that they wanted to charge me $100. I cannot understand the rationale. If the hive was not there when they came on 3/14/2014 how can the hive be so big that they have to charge me so much money? I am so frustrated and very disappointed with the customer service and their so called warranty.Desired Settlement: I do not think I should pay for the services for the second time since the area that they serviced is still under warranty.
