Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** ***
As I have stated numerous times to the Dealer, according to the Song Beverly Consumer Warranty Act:"If a defect exists within the warrranty period and the repairs did not remedy the defect, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect has not been fixed, the buyer may return the this product for a replacement or a refund subject in either case, to deduction of a reasonable charge for useageThis time extension does not affect the protections or remedies the buyer has under other laws"My purchace price was $1,The dealer can not legally charge the consumer a restock or return feeI have offered to settle this for $1,That's $less than I paidThis includes more than the rebate fee and reasonable charge for usage.I am willing to settle for $1,I will then take my business to another DealerThe remedy is with the Dealer not the Manufacturer

To Whom It May Concern:The manufacturer had two service requests on record for Mrs*** when we contacted them for a history approximately three weeks ago. A single service request can be two or three trips to the customer if parts have to be ordered. We have not seen a high repair
incident on this dishwasher or the variations of the machine that GE produces. It has been a well performing productOur salesman arranged a fast track exchange with the help of our GE representative. Mrs*** was offered a brand new dishwasher with a full warranty, and she was only responsible for the cost of installation. Mrs*** would not except a new GE dishwasher and wanted to trade it in to purchase another brand. We explained that it was not proper for us to take the new dishwasher she was being offered by GE and use it to purchase a competitive brand. None the less, we offered to do this, but there would be restocking charges to take the dishwasher into our inventory. She would also have to give up a portion of the rebate she received when it was purchased. Mrs*** was not agreeable, so we turned the issue over to GE consumer relations to handle directly. I do not know where it stands now, but GE conducts itself within prevailing laws and in fairness to the consumer. Please contact me with any questions

Review: I bought A GE dishwasher from this Dealer on 11/15/2014. It was installed on 11/26/2015.

The control panel has gone out for the fouth time. It has been repaired 3 times. They will not give me my money back for the dishwasher. It has a design defect. It last went out for the fourth time on 7/18/2015. They have given me the "run around" on this and so has GE.

I have quoted them the Song Beverly Consumer Warrant Act of California laws. They refuse to comply with this law.

I am at my wits end! I have even offered to settle for an amount lesser than the purchase price and even come in to the dealership and exchange the product for a dishwasher of my choice which is under this Warranty Act.

I think both the Dealer and The Manufacturer is trying to prolon this until the (1) year from purchase is up.Desired Settlement: I just want this settled quickly. I have been dealing with this since 7/18/2015! The first complaint on this product was on 2/23/2015. I just want a new dishwasher! GE says "they do not recall defects in desighn, only safety defects. GE stated the Dealer is not a GE Comapny and the Dealer is an independent comapny. They do not have that kind of relationship with the Dealer. There is no point in GE getting involved".

The dealership want to charge me for things under the law they can't. So you can see I am getting nowhere with the Dealer. The law says I am to settlethis with the Dealer NOT the Manufacturer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,[redacted]

As I have stated numerous times to the Dealer, according to the Song Beverly Consumer Warranty Act:"If a defect exists within the warrranty period and the repairs did not remedy the defect, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect has not been fixed, the buyer may return the this product for a replacement or a refund subject in either case, to deduction of a reasonable charge for useage. This time extension does not affect the protections or remedies the buyer has under other laws". My purchace price was $1,424.52. The dealer can not legally charge the consumer a restock or return fee. I have offered to settle this for $1,000.00. That's $424.52 less than I paid. This includes more than the rebate fee and reasonable charge for usage.I am willing to settle for $1,000.00. I will then take my business to another Dealer. The remedy is with the Dealer not the Manufacturer.
