I am rejecting this response because: The owner of this company is changing the whole storyHe did come out in August of and we spoke in great detail about the problems that I have keeping the restaurant cool because it is so smallI explained to him that I wasn't looking for the cheapest estimate, but that I was looking for a company that could cool the square foot restaurant down with all the equipment and ovens that we haveI explained to him that we hardly ever use the heat because it is always hot in there - even in the winterI told him we ONLY use the heat at night when we close sometimes when the temperature gets really cold, then we always turn the heat off as soon as we turn the oven on and use the air conditionerHe measured and looked at all the equipment we have and gave me the estimateHe assured me that the 5-ton unit would be sufficient to cool the place down, but HE said he would have to change the duct work and vents to make them able to handle tons of airflowHe showed me the pipes in the ceiling and HE said he would have to change them all to a bigger size since this unit was double the size of the old unitI had other estimates for less amounts, but none of them stated that they had to change the duct work or ventsMark seems the most knowledgeable of all the companies that came to give me an estimate, so I agreed to his estimateWhen they installed the unit, they never changed any duct workI thought that they would come back to do it because it took a long time to install the unit on the roofSo I called the office, and explained to the secretary that they had not changed the ducts yet and asked if they would be coming backShe called me back and said that the job was finishedI asked her to speak with Mark because HE told me that the ducts would have to all be changed to a bigger size in order to handle the air flow of the bigger unitShe called me back and said that the job was finished and they need the final paymentI asked her why they didn't change the ducts, but she didn't knowThen the unit stopped working one dayI called and was informed that they would fix the unit when I gave them the final paymentI demanded to have a meeting with MarkHe met me at the store on 11/17/2011, which you can see on the attachment was degrees with a trace of snow that dayMark told me that they had disabled the unit during the night, and he would put the part back on when I give him the final paymentI told him I had been calling for a month to find out why they never did the duct workHe said that we didn't need to change the duct work! I explained to him that the only reason I picked his estimate for more money than the other estimates was because HE said I needed to changed all the duct workHe finally agreed to credit me $for the duct work that he did not changeI gave him the rest of the moneyS&S states that they came out to assess the duct work because they didn't have access to it, that is a lieThey didn't call me about the money either - I called them to find out if they were coming back to finist was illegal for them to go up on my roof and disable the unit, so I didn't trust them any moreI made sure that the receipt had the 10-year warranty on the entire unit printed on it, and I had of my employees witness Mark signing the warranty on 11/17/On this day, the temperature went down to degrees with a trace of snowThe temperature in the store was way over degrees when they disabled the unitMark knew that I would be using the air conditioner during the winter months because we discussed this at great lengths before he gave me the estimateIt was HIS job to put a unit that could be used in the winter monthsI was never given an option to add any accessory to the unitI never refused any option to add any accessory to the unitS&S knew that I would be using the unit in the winter time because they were there on 11/17/2011, which was a cold day, to replace the part that they took off to disable the unit from working when we had a discrepancy about the duct workI looked up the specifications of the unit online and saw the part about the low ambient kitS&S should have given me the option at the time of installation since they knew I would be operating the unit in the winterAs for the other service charges by this companyI have included the invoice from 8/19/which clearly shows "evap coil" on itI asked why they were charging me $for that because it was still under warrantyThe technician called Mark and then he scratched some things out and added all the work listed under "work performed" and made it look like it was a bill for regular maintenanceI don't even know if he did any of that work because it wasn't written there until I questioned why he was charging me so muchThen he wrote that in and changed the amount to $It clearly shows that he worked on the evaporator coil on 8/19/So, when all the coolant leaked out because of the evaporator coil on 4/26/16, it should have been covered under the warrantyThis company is very dishonest and they took advantage of me because the temperature in the restaurant was so high that it didn't even register on the thermostat when Mark came to give me an estimateMark knew that I would be using the air conditioner in the winter as evidenced by the receipt he signed on 11/17/2011, which was already coldThe whole unit is not working now We have no heat or air conditionerMy employees and customers are suffering all day
