My insurance company contracted [redacted]) out of Maine to rectify some damage at my home. They contacted several so called contractors to work on my home. The first bunch did an okay job however there were flaws that needed to be fixed. So [redacted] called [redacted], the "owner" of the above company to tidy up things that the original crew had not attended to and to install some interior doors. Over the next few weeks, [redacted] was at my home installing doors and I found him to be pleasant and he seemed to do a good job. After that I hired and paid him $175 to install a railing. I asked him to frame in an exposed beam in my home and he quoted me $50. He said he would do it the next Saturday morning- I have the texts.
Well, [redacted] texted that he would have to put it off until the next Friday. So I waited and [redacted] was a NO SHOW. So I texted him are you coming and he said he would give me a time in a "little bit". The little bit turned into 12 hours and when I texted him again - HE WENT ON A RANT ABOUT HOW I WAS PATHETIC, THAT HE DIDN'T WORK FOR [redacted] AND THAT "QUITE FRANKLY" HE WAS WORKING ON A $30,000 KITCHEN IN MILTON AND THAT MY F-ING STUPID MOLDING DIDN'T MATTER TO HIM.
In closing, I was nothing but nice to this person and am left with the old saying that no good deed goes unpunished as I thought I was supplying him with work. It is very apparent that he thinks this work is beneath him. He also has some issues with temper obviously. This man will never work in my house again. And the cash and check were written to him personally, NOT SK CONSTRUCTION, which of course can be proven so BEWARE !
