I have just purchased my very first home in the [redacted] subdivision that was built by SK BUILDERS and I love it. I will recommend anyone looking for a good home to give SK BUILDERS a chance
My husband and I bought a home in [redacted] subdivision a little over a yr ago. We were a few months out of our 1 yr warranty (to be honest we either didnt know or forgot not sure) when we contacted sk builders for our hardwood flooring separating. We were given a appointment in a timely fashion in which [redacted] warranty supervisor, executed. He was very helpful in assisting us with getting an appointment with the flooring company to get our problem resolved. Wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them again! Thank you
I recently purchased a home with SK Builders about a month and 1/2 ago. We are extremely pleased with our new home. The SK staff has been quick to help and answer any questions we've had. The warranty staff has been extremely helpful and responsive to our needs. I would recommend working with the SK team.
Review: I have continually had problems with the drainage in my yard. My yard has literally washed away because of the inexperience of the landscaping crews used by SK Builders. I have sunken septic lines and a large washed out hole in my yard. I have tried repeatedly to reach out to the warranty manager via emails and phone calls without any success. I will never even consider purchasing a home in a SK Builder neighborhood. I simply want the drainage in my backyard to be addressed. Apparently after a neighborhood has been "built out" it is no longer their problem.Desired Settlement: I want SK to correct the drainage issue in my yard with the installation of french drains in the problem areas, fill the hole that has washed away and correct the ground around the collapsed septic lines.

Review: I purchased my home from [redacted] built by SK. I have been living here for 2 years now. Our home is mostly hardwood floors. Our floors were put in by [redacted] flooring. Our hard wood floors have been replaced once already by greer flooring for it buckled. Our floor is buckling again due to high humidity in our home. We have many hollow spots in the floor( detaching from the slab). We also had SK put in a [redacted] deck for us at the cost of about $20k, well that also buckled and has been removed. When the deck was removed there was thick black mold on the bottom of the deck. We retained a lawyer and has tried to get answers from SK to no avail. We were told to put in a de humidifier in our home and the floors will settle down in about 6 months. This has been going on for about as long as we have been living here. Sk agreed to put in a de humidifier in our home but will not guarantee our floors will settle down in 6 months. Everything that is joint in our home is cracking. We were told that SK does not replace caulking. All of our base boards, moldings and walls are cracking. We have carpet in our bedrooms and the waterlines are going up the walls. We had a leak in the upstairs bathroom. My husband was told by the plumber " that would happen if there was high humidity in the home". I'm afraid of mold in my home for we have 2 small children. In the winter the carpet feels wet. We have decided to put in stamped concrete for our deck instead of the [redacted] and asked SK for the difference in the price we have paid. Every time our lawyer calls or sends an email no reply. I'm sick of doing this and i'm tired of looking at the hole that was once my deck. It was very poor construction and started coming apart a year later. I do have pictures and video of all the above. Please help me solve this problem. I don't know where else to turn to for help.Desired Settlement: We have asked for a partial refund on our deck and guarantee on our floor for 6-8 months. If the floor does not settle down then it needs to be replaced. Carpets should be removed and slab resealed.
