Response received via fax to Revdex.com -- scan is attached; text of letter reads as follows: "Regarding *** *** and his Honda Element, Case number ***. Mr *** came in to our store for an airbag inflator recall campaign on October 9, We completed the recall procedure,
and when we were done his SRS light was not on He returned on December 18th, stating that his SRS light was on after we completed the recallWe checked for history codes, and we found a history code relating to his seat belt buckleThis was not related to the inflator we replacedWe cleared the code, and the SRS light stayed offWe recommended to the customer that if in fact the light does come back on, he will need a seat belt buckle and that it would be covered under Honda's lifetime seatbelt warrantyWe did not charge the customer for thisHe was to let us know if the light came back on. Sometime in early April of the customer contacted our sister store, Ryan Honda in Williston, NDThey did not know the vehicle history, and told the customer he would have to pay to have the SRS light diagnosed. On April 13th, I talked to Mr ***, and explained that had he returned to us, we would not charge to diagnose the problemHe made an appointment with us for April 21stHopefully, we can resolve the customer's concern. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, upon leaving the dealership the SRS light did come on. Regardless, they have warrantied the issue and has since been fixed.
