Friday, February 10, Dear *** ***, Thank you for taking the time to communicate with us regarding one of the Service Professionals that you contacted through our websiteI understand that you have paid $to *** *** to refinish a tub that he ended up damaging and he refused
a return visit to fix the problemNow he is ignoring your phone calls and messages and is refusing to give you a refund for the service, which is why you reached out to us to contact the company and possibly if we could provide the refund in behalf of the service providerFirst and foremost we would like to apologize that we have not gotten back to you on your email on a timely mannerI want to let you know that we have already put the account of ReNew Refinish on suspend and we still continue to leave messages for *** *** in their voicemail and they have not yet returned our phone callsI would like to make it clear that the owner of ReNew Refinish, *** ***, is not affiliated with us other than being listed in our websiteAny transactions, warranties, or any representation associated with their dealings is solely between you and the service provider as stated in our termsWe cannot provide any reimbursements in behalf of the companies listed in our websiteI hope that we would be able to express to you that the limitation of our efforts goes only as far as the digression of the said company to respond to our email and phone callsIt is our goal to provide a much better services in the futureThank you, *** *** Customer Service, Fixr *** Sent on: 2/9/2:56:PM Sent by:
I have one question for the Revdex.com: if you see the back and forth with the complainer, you'll see that s/he keeps asking for the money and although we've tried to help him/her resolve this issue with the contractor s/he hired, s/he's still asking for us to pay for something for which we've made our point clear.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I sent [redacted] an email yesterday, which I also then forwarded to you, at the email address I had on file and I'm happy to resend that email if you need it. What I told [redacted] is that their website doesn't make it clear that these are not professionals who are on their website, and in fact everything about their website implies the people advertising there are reliable. No where does it say explicitly that Fixr isn't vetting these service providers. Therefore I hold Fixr they are at least partially responsible for what has happened to my bathtub. They need to make it clear on their website that they don't know who these people are and that in some cases, like the person that I found through their website, this person may be a fraud and not properly licensed to even be doing contract work, which is what I later found out when I researched him myself, he doesn't even have a proper contractors license. I expect fixr to refund me the $565 if they cannot recover it from [redacted]. I did extend to them my willingness to take only half of $565 but I won't agree to less than that. Thank you
