Customer purchased trailer that we recently repaired. Claims our work was defective and that we refused to pay for correcting repairs. Informed me he wanted to have a local shop do the repairs needed if possible, I agreed if... price was reasonable. Contacted by shop and given an estimate of $1,500 which I relayed was excessive and told customer we would repair this at our shop. He refused that suggestion. He contacted the previous owner who contacted me and asked me if I would contribute $300 towards the repair and I agreed and gave him a check for that amount which he cashed. Previous owner gave me a release of liability at the same time. I do not feel our work was defective in any way. Photos of the damaged area show the heavy winds in his area ripped the plastic shroud apart and away from the mounting. If anything, this would be a factory defect in design. Customer was apparently premature in filing a complaint as this has been resolved as far as I am aware.

Review: I had my fifth wheel repaired by [redacted], owner of RV Services in Yreka California. RV Services was paid him $3,000.00 to repair the front cap that had come loose during a camping trip. There was minor water infiltration, and during the repairs it was decided to add some extra supports to the roof. The first road trip taken the cap came loose and did the exact same thing that was allegedly repaired by RV Services. The fifth wheel is now located in Washington unable to be towed without causing more damage, sitting under a tarp to protect from the weather, and [redacted] is unwilling to make the repairs. I offered to have someone local do the repairs and [redacted] is unwilling to even help with the costs. RV Services in no way stands behind there work. It is unfortunate that businesses like this are even able to operate.Desired Settlement: I would like RV Services to help pay for the costs to repair their deficient work.
