Review: My wife and I ordered russiantelek television service so we can watch russian television at our home. Our agreement was that the service provider would install the service for us which includes a set-top box that connects to the television. The service provider scheduled time for their technician ([redacted], ###-###-####) to come to our home to set the service up on our television. As part of the service and installation they billed me for a whole year upfront, which I paid.The television service worked for only a few weeks before we began to experience issues:1) Poor connectivity to our set-top box.2) Service would only work for about 2 hours per day before dropping.3) Many errors would show up during use of the set top box which couldn't be resolved on our own.I called their service number to explain these issues and they told me that all of their customers either are experiencing these issues or would be experiencing issues due maintenance of [redacted] servers and installation of hardware at their headquarters.Three months passed with similar issues, russiantelek did not help resolve any service issues. Eventually, the set-top box stopped working and would not turn on. [redacted], the service technician who originally installed our service came to inspect the box and confirmed that it was no longer working and was no longer accepting a signal. He said that the russiantelek service would need to replace the box as per their policy. A few more months passed and [redacted] was unable to receive a replacement from russiantelek. I made additional calls to russiantelek to inquire as to why they were now refusing to send a replacement box. At this point they refused to speak to me any further and told me to find resolution through constituents at "[redacted] (###-###-####). [redacted], who worked out of "[redacted]" told me that he is not able to do anything and that Russiantelek is no longer cooperating.Desired Settlement: RussianTelek who we purchased television service and hardware from has behaved fraudulently and according to their technician, [redacted] has confirmed that the company has outright lied to use and he would testify to this if he was contacted to certify this complaint.We ask that the company fulfills their agreement and provides us for no additional charge a working set-top box and service for 1 year as they have left us without television for along time now.
