Russell Meat Packing

Review: This company is a business that kills and processes beef for individuals who hires them for this service. I took my beef there which weighed 550lbs and after it had been killed and processed I was called to come by and pick up my product. I did and only received 100lbs of processed beef in return. When I question the manager of the business she told me that my 550lbs calf only dressed out 100lbs of beef with a 440lbs of waste (which is the bones,hide and internal organs). There is no way that a calf would have 440lbs of waste. This company only gave me back 100lbs of beef and kept the rest for sale which they do at there company for individuals who wants to buy beef without actually owning one to have processed. I have checked with other farmers in my area and found that this is a common practice for this business. If this business is going to be allowed to provide a service to the general public then they should have to comply with size,weight and measures like all the business in my area that sell products.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the rest of my beef which is owed to me. I paid to have this service preformed for me and I only expect to receive what is rightly mine. This is an unfair business practice and needs to stop immediately.

I am enclosing a copy of the work order for [redacted] & [redacted]. They brought their beef in on 10-22-13 on foot it weight 550 lb after it was skinned guted, feet off, head off it dressed 300 lb. His sister got ½ of 300=150 He got ½ 300=150 Then when we process we trim all the lean meat from the bones that are on it and put that in ground beef. They received steaks, roast & Ground beef. We take the beef ½ at a time and cut [redacted]’s part then the other 1/2 is cut for [redacted], They each received 2 boxes of meat around 100 lb each. They called me back and said they had 60 lb of ground beef They also had steaks & roast He has lead you to believe he only got 100 lb of meat and he may have But that was only ½ of the beef. We do not keep any ones meat. If we miss a box when they are loading out we call the customer & meet up with them to be sure they receive their meat. Any questions call. [redacted]
