After several hours of inspection, test driving and negotiations, Mr*** agreed to purchase the used vehicle "AS-IS" and seemed satisfied. The vehicle left the dealership at or above all the required Virginia State Inspection standards which included brake wear. The windshield
washer system was fully operational at the time of purchase also. Mr***'s decision to later have "elective" maintenance performed on his vehicle was optional and at his request. Previous to this request, Mr*** was sent $from his salesman (a distant family member) for the reimbursement of the cost of an alignment, tire rotation and tire balancing. These services are also considered maintenance and "elective". With all things considered, I do not believe the services that Mr*** chose to have performed were immediately necessary and the cost are not the responsibility of the dealership.
