Review: I took my watch in to Rummele's to simply have them replace the battery. When I handed over the watch, it was in fine condition. They took it into a back room and brought it back out a few minutes later damaged. Several of the numbers and trim on the face of the watch had become dislodged and were scattered under the glass top. These dislodge parts now prevent the hours, minutes, and seconds hands of the watch from rotating. The store employees told me they would not fix or replace the watch because they had seen this happen with my particular brand of watch before, and therefore it was not their fault. If this was truly something that happened frequently with my brand of watch, they would have given me prior warning.Desired Settlement: I would like for the store to replace my watch that had been damaged while under their care and in their possession.

I am writing in reference to complaint # [redacted]. I just spoke to my goldsmith in our Appleton store, [redacted]. She explained to me that she had changed the battery in the watch and when she went to set the time she noticed that two numbers and a ring around the subdial were off. She told [redacted], our customer, that she couldn’t fix the numbers or subdial ring, and didn’t charge him for the battery.
