Ruby's Cleaners

Review: Last fall I took two area rugs to Rubys for cleaning. When I tried to pick up the rugs I was told that they had been destroyed in a fire. I spoke numerous times with one of the owners, [redacted], and was assured that I would be compensated after the insurance companies had investigated. She informed me that they had sent my rugs to a company in Westmoreland County and they were destroyed by a fire. Rubys sent me claim forms which I completed and returned to [redacted] After repeated telephone conversations, I was informed by [redacted] that I would have to contact their insurance company and attempt to obtain compensation. My complaint is that Rubys is responsible for my destroyed property and should insure that I am compensated.Desired Settlement: I've replaced the rugs and want to be reimbursed for the cost. The new rugs cost $494.39.
