Review: Contract to re-side the house with pre-painted shingles and also renew trimming was made in April 5, 2013 for $29,841. Agreed $1781 for all materials, $8000 for labor after all trim installed, with final labor payment of $4000 on completion. Progress was extremely slow with weeks of no-show. Trim was completed by November 2013 and the $8000 for labor was paid as agreed. After many unanswered calls a single carpenter was sent with shingles painted by Roger. The contract did not specify brand of pre-painted shingle, but the exact color/quality was picked from [redacted] brand samples provided by Roger. After no progress in work, I bought $7515 of prepainted shingles myself. In January 2014 an agreement was made with Roger that he would install these shingles which he did not have capital to provide. In addition he would arrange painting of the trim but forfeit the last $4000. As of today's date, 5/8/14, only one-half of the shingles have been placed on the house. I last heard from Roger on 4/23/14 when he promised to come to my home on 4/30/14. He has not responded to my phone calls/texts.Desired Settlement: I want my house completed as agreed within May 2014. It is now 14 months since contract and 50% of my house remains bare and an eye-sore to me and the neighbors.
